In a nutshell:
In this article, we introduce you to our open programming interface, the Taxdoo API. The API offers you the possibility to exchange data with Taxdoo and to integrate this process into your own systems. It is also possible to connect systems with Taxdoo to which we do not offer our own interfaces.
What do I need to be able to use the Taxdoo API?
A client software is required for data exchange. We recommend using Postman for developing your own API solution.
In order for your requests to our API to be accepted, you have to identify yourself using a token. Every login for your Taxdoo dashboard has such a token and can access it under Settings → API.
Important:
Only the token that you get displayed with the main login of your Taxdoo account has the rights to transmit, change or delete data. All other tokens can only be used to retrieve data. The main login is usually the one with which you originally booked Taxdoo.
You should rotate the token regularly to minimize security risks.
